There's nothing to suggest a link between the slowdown and the various
PrintManager sheet-related bugs below.

Bug report: PM sheets beep in FBtoC-built app, in OS X 10.5

Steps to duplicate the bug:
--------------------------
1. <http://4toc.com/fb4/FBtoC_Preview1a118.zip>
2. Locate the FB source file '../Examples/Page Setup and Print Sheets'
3. Run it via FBtoC.
4. Choose Print… or Page Setup… from the File menu.

What I expected to hear:
----------------------
Nothing.

What I actually heard:
-------------------
In OS X 10.5, a beep.
[Notes: no beep if run directly in FB; source code contains no beep
statement]

Bug report: PM sheets deactivate their parent in OS X 10.5

Steps to duplicate the bug:
--------------------------
1. <http://4toc.com/fb4/FBtoC_Preview1a118.zip>
2. Locate the FB source file '../Examples/Page Setup and Print Sheets'
3. Run it in FB directly, or via FBtoC.
4. Choose Print… or Page Setup… from the File menu. Click Cancel.
5. Repeat step [4].

What I expected to see:
----------------------
The window stays front.

What I actually saw:
-------------------
In OS X 10.5, window is visibly non-front.

Bug report: PM sheets cause their parent to flicker on activation in
OS X 10.5

Steps to duplicate the bug:
--------------------------
1. <http://4toc.com/fb4/FBtoC_Preview1a118.zip>
2. Locate the FB source file '../Examples/Page Setup and Print Sheets'
3. Run it in FB directly, or via FBtoC.
4. Choose Print… or Page Setup… from the File menu. Click Cancel.
5. Repeat step [4] several times, if necessary first clicking the
window to make it front.

What I expected to see:
----------------------
Nothing, if the window was already front; immediate activation
otherwise.

What I actually saw:
-------------------
In OS X 10.5, brief fast flickering of the title bar and shadow.
