Maybe you are misunderstanding the function of a menu. A menu's only purpose is to *indicate* what the user wants to do. When your program receives an event saying the user picked (say) the Lucinda Grande font on a menu, it is the responsibility of the program to now set the font for the edit field. Just selecting a menu doesn't change the font in the edit field (even though it looks that way to the user). Brian S.
