>My laptop uses a single 13" color and it's a pain for me to use >effectively. I use it for only times when I can't get to my real system. > >In my real system, I use two 20" monitors and am thinking about buying a >third. In other words, I want more screen space. I still get lost when I look at a 19" monitor. It just dwarfs the content of the screen. I'd have to crank my font size up and sit farther away just to make my text stand out, and then why not just use a smaller monitor in the first place? :-) I could probably manage to get used to a 17" monitor, though. That's unimaginably huge, but probably tolerable. Then again, I'm hopelessly retro, so I should probably exit this conversation before I make myself sound ridiculous... >I think that having the >possibility to create a huge desktop is one of the greatest things about a >Mac over any windoze machine. The windoze world just simply doesn't >understand the concept. Agreed. This is terrific for desktop publishers, graphics types, and other people who work with 2-D print images. And it's just so technically *cool*, to boot. -Mars
