Once again, thanks for the useful information and encouragement. I am
now confident that I made the right decision.

I am having a lot of fun messing around with FB, mostly FBtoC!

1) I think that FBtoC can be integrated with Emacs... if anyone has
already done that, please let me know!
2) I find it very interesting that the code below wasn't translated to
the normal "printf" code. What is all that junk?
3) Where is the console screen? When I run the program, a screen pops-
up and disappears too fast to see anything. I want to write text-only
console-based stuff at first... just like during my Apple //e days...

Thanks for any help... once I get this console code going, I promise
not to bombard this mailing list with newbie questions...

=== FB-code ===
cls
print "Hello, World!"

=== C-code ===
#include "_0_TranslatedRuntime.h"
#include "ArrayIndices.c"

///////////////////////////////////////////////////
//            translated main code               //
///////////////////////////////////////////////////
int main( void )
{
   InitFBGlobals();
   Cls();   FBPrintString( PSstrcpy( gFBStrStk[++gFBStk], "\pHello,
World!" ) );\
   PrintCR();
   return 0;
}
