This would have me dancing in front of my students... I could use FB  
instead of 4D or FileMaker for some data entry applications. Imagine  
the speed of FB as a data-scrubber. I use PowerBASIC for that on  
Windows and it is blazingly fast. I use MySQL for the really "big"  
things (database on Web server, with PHP and Javascript).

The new FileMaker disappointed me with the controls still looking like  
System 7. Blech.

FutureBASIC is part of my lecture today at the U. We'll see if and how  
many students respond. Doesn't always happen.
