I remember that a recent discussion on the FutureBASIC mailing list focused
on setting up FutureBasic list archives that cannot be entered by bots, so
the junk emailers can't harvest our email addresses for use in their junk
mailings. I remember that the key people assembling a FutureBasic list
archive were going to setup their archives so that it was unlikely that
bots could enter the archive. Unfortunately someone else is not so
careful, the site:

http://www.d21.k12.il.us:80/~futurebasic/

contains a fairly large archive of the FutureBASIC mailing list and if you
posted during the time it covers, I'd assume that the junk emailers have
your email address and it's only a matter of time before you get your fair
share. I don't know how bad the problem is related to this site, but I did
find it ironic that the main site has the statement "Please do not copy or
reproduce any of the original material on this site without written
consent."

What's feeling on this or policy. I received no comment from the web
master of the site Larry Cline at <lcline@...>. This FutureBasic
archive is also linked in http://www.ncisc.org/list_archives/index.html
