what's so bad with this?

Of course, we like to finish our projects as quickly as possible...

...but when it comes to new techniques it is a good idea to learn the 
basics first.

That said, stop for a day with your current project and start reading 
the docs to get acquainted with the basic principles of new 
techniques.


No reason to fear RP's comments, they are always helpful, the above as well!


Learning can't be delegated, we are forced to do it ourselves. That's 
how I understand RP here. What this fabulous list can and does 
provide is help but not the learning.
