As I recall, all this is held in the data fork, like so:
Handle
Resource
Handle
Resource

And the handle usually refers to a PICT or a SND
And the resource is a PICT or a SND itself.

Almost a year ago I asked about this, and I believe it was rick who
suggested this method when I asked how to "protect my resources" from
res-editors.

I may have some code, It'll take me a long time to find the message itself,
though.
