You may want to re-think this offer unless you bank at a Federal Reserve Bank.
If foreign checks are not drawn on a bank with a US branch and don't have the
routing numbers on the bottom, the "collection" fee may very well exceed the
check value.

Most Texas banks don't know how to deal with foreign checks.  You can get a
loan with no colateral, but you can't cash a valid foreign bank draft!  That's
because there is little or no profit for the bank in this transaction. US
banking, especially Texas, is geared for bank profit, not client service.

If you find me to be wrong, please enlighten me. I'd like to be able to accept
foreign checks for small sums too!
