open source is a fascinating concept.

i intend to explore its use in the future
by migrating my commercial futurebasic source code
gradually in that direction.  (once i develop an approach...)

this will be after i've generated enough revenue 
from the code to feel i've covered my back-costs.

like many perhaps, i often write an app because i need it.
if someone will take my efforts as a starting point,
and improve on those efforts to create an even better app,
and then someone improves that, i see it as win-win-win.

essentially, my earlier barn-raising suggestion was
an invitation to the list to create some open source.

i still think it's a good idea,
and am still willing to coordinate the effort.
but it won't happen unless y'all make it happen.

i'm not here pitching it to you --
you've got to decide to do it on your own.
