Here's what I'm saying: 1. did that code I posted work for what it was meant to work for? 2. is patting myself on the back once so wrong that you needed to prove my method was too simple? 3. I'm not saying your ideas aren't worth reading, but they're just too hard to read without having to re-read the message 2 or 3 three times. I'm probably wrong to bring this up to begin with, but all I'm saying is maybe I'm not the only one who has trouble reading your messages in one setting. 4. Yes, your messages look like they're written like poetry; take it as a compliment. Alot of people can't write poetry :-) ...anyway, back to the subject at hand. I use DRAWPICTURE(0,0),handle& once I have set up the gworld, and then copybits' it out to the main window. If you stick with DRAWPICTURE, you'll find that when you want to do animation, its slow, probably a memory hog(just a guess), and it'll mess up with async sound(just my experience). Staz has (now 2?) examples of the spriteworld, both of which(especially the pG version) shows exactly how to setup and manage gworlds. -- TJ Grant (tatewake@...)
