Hi there everyone,
well I just recieved my PowerMacG3 266mhz Desktop and wow! It took my Performa
460 15 minutes to compile my entire project and now I have to wait about 15
seconds. I'm just amazed, if STAZ made FB 3 without PPC code I would never
care, FutureBASIC would still rule.
So I moved everything over from my old computer in 3 hours, programs,
extensions, everything.. found Church Windows crashes, Custon Menus no longer
lets me tear my menus from the menu bar (as Jobs says, that's a real pisser)
but that was all the trouble I had. Can't do it that easy on a PC, I can't
believe it, 3 hours and I'm back to normal accept for minor quirks (those
cursed 8 windows with borders) and the 3D landscape is not thrilling, but I
will hack my favorite 7s into my computer sometime..
QUESTION:
Now for a real puzzler, my FutureBASIC code compiles fine accept for some odd
reason it manages to find an "Array Bounds Error" on my new computer when it
didn't on my old computer, I am using the same FutureBASIC prefs, (I took all
my important prefs from my old computer) so I'm still looking into it. If
worst comes to worst I will instal OS 7.6 and have a warning not to use level
editor with OS 8..
