Another suggestion:

To make easy adjustments of application memory allocation in your compiled
program, get a copy of VersionEdit 2.0 at the URL below. You can get a
rough estimate of RAM usage in the compiled app by lanunching it, going to
the "About..." menu in Finder and examining the status bars. The 4000K
default is overkill for small utility programs that many of us write in FB.
