Dear friends,
We're only a month away from the World Wide Day of Prayer for Children at
Risk! We've been encouraged to hear about prayer events that are planned
already around the world for 5th June - groups will be praying in India,
Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Jamaica, Canada, America, France, England…as well as
in many other countries. See the list of events on our website for further
details, and register your prayer event there too!
There's still time to organise a time to pray for children at risk on the
5th June, or to focus on children at risk in your church services on 6th
June… go to Viva Network's website, www.viva.org/wwdp to find out more and
download the World Wide Day of Prayer materials for this year, which are
available in 10 languages. The prayer pack is based around the Lord's
Prayer this year, reminding us that each child at risk is precious to our
Father, and providing prayer suggestions, activities and statistics to
inspire us.
Last year around 250,000 people prayed on the World Wide Day of Prayer for
Children at Risk…Please add your voice to the thousands bringing the cause
of children to God this year, remembering God's promise that "he will call
on me, and I will answer him" (Psalm 91v15).
