Orphans First Prayer Requests March 30th 2006
Dear Prayer Friends,
This past week has been laden with heaviness as Satan bombards young
minds with depression and thoughts of suicide--so prevalent among teens. I just
got word from Diana in Denver that one of her foster children committed
suicide. This will have repercussions on other children, particularly those in
the streets. Diana writes: "The grief has spread to all of my street kids and
Katrina has also been affected. She will be coming home on Monday. Pray for
her safe trip back to Denver? She is deeply hurt by yet another loss in her
life." To add to the convoluted tragedy, one boy witnessed the suicide and
is now in custody accused of murder. Pray for him and all the children and
families involved.
I know of other deeply depressed youths--please pray for them too.
Russia's Street Children
Concerning the street children we support in Moscow, Alexandra writes:
Praise: I praise God giving us joy and giving us inspiration. Pray for Elena
and Arpik to be more committed to God and to be obedient to His word. Pray
for Ania to have hunger for God and His righteousness. Pray for Katia to be
able to attend our cell more often.
Requests:
- Pray for Arpik's situation: she has a male friend, who's in love with her.
She doesn't love him. He's threatening to commit suicide if she doesn't
become his girlfriend. She's depressed about the situation. Pray for the man to
be delivered and saved.
- Pray for our min. to be able to buy a car. We'll be able to do much more
for the homeless. Pray for us to minister together with R., if it's God's
will. Please, pray for God to add him to our team. Pray for Leva's salvation and
deliverance.
- Pray for Vova Nikulcha's salvation and deliverance. He uses hypnosis
against people and openly brags about his occult powers. Pray for him to fear God
and to stop leading people astray.
Requests:
- Pray for Iana O., who has cancer. Her family and she used to be believers,
but through the cancer issue they turned away from God. Now they are hateful
against the believers and they drink now. Pray for them to trust in God
again and for Iana to be healed.
- Pray for our project with street kids this coming Wed. to go well. Pray
for salvations, deliverance, healings. Pray for us to be able to open new
feeding sites for street kids. Pray for us to be able to open an orphanage for
them. Pray for their hearts to be open.
- Pray for Sergei Chistiakov and his mother Luba. Sergei was forced by his
Mom to part with a girl that he loved. He's broken hearted and drinks much.
His Mom is involved in the occult and attacks me verbally when I see her. They
both need salvation and deliverance.
- Pray for Sasha Boldarev's salvation and deliverance. He's a street teen.
His Dad was an alcoholic and he doesn't have a Mom (she died). Sasha ran away
from his abusive Dad and lives on the street. Pray for him to be open to God
and to have a better life.
INDIA
Continue praying for our children in Grace Home, India as well as wisdom
on whether or not we should be partnering with other Indian ministries
soliciting our help at this time.
HAITI
Nothing new except that the orphanage we had "adopted" no longer wants
our help--even though the children are very scrawny and need help. We will
channel the support that we already sent to Haiti to two other orphanages that
will be expanding--and who we know personally and trust. I have learned many
lessons through this tragic experience. And we must continue praying for the
children--victims of man's greed & pride.
ADOPTIONS
Nothing new so keep praying for them all.
USA
My husband is presently in Bay St. Louis helping with Katrina relief and
reminded me we should all be praying for those whose lives were so
devastated by that event.
