Orphans First Prayer Requests May 22nd, 2003

Dear Prayer Friends,

WORLD WIDE DAY OF PRAYER FOR CHILDREN AT RISK
     This day takes place during the first weekend of June.  Pray for 
Christians every where to be involved and to really pray.  Pray for that 
first week in June to change the lives of millions of suffering children.  
Pray for Orphans First especially as we fast and pray to seek God for some 
future possibilities, changes, expansion etc.  That week is very key to our 
work and we desire to hear from Heaven for guidance on how to reach the 
maximum number of suffering children and lost souls for Christ, and how to 
multiply and grow to God's glory.

ALBANIA
     Time prohibits me translating a report sent me by Eda, who works with 
street children with our team in Tirana, but the conditions of the children 
are terrible.  So many live in perpetual fear of being beaten, cold and 
hunger.  Pray as we help these children -- that we could eventually better 
structure our aid with schooling and a home.  Pray also for a small orphanage 
we help there.  One 16-month-old baby cries, squirms & cringes each time a 
female approaches him.  Why?  His 15-year-old mother beat him constantly 
before abandoning him.  Pray for God to save and deliver millions more 
children.

AFRICA
     Continue praying for each work in AFRICA (Burkina Faso, Togo, Gabon, 
Ivory Coast, Ghana) etc. Pray for some orphans, beaten children, refugees and 
terrorized people in Ivory Coast.  Pray we can send them money for food and 
basic needs rapidly.  Pray also for South Africa - may God open big doors 
there for orphans, and for AIDS children to be delivered.

RUSSIA
     Continue praying for Sergey in St.Pete.  We've sent money for his 
surgery but there are complications.Pray for orphans we're trying to help to 
go to a week's summer camp with Josh McDowell.  
     Pray for a new work we're checking into helping.............
     Pray for future orphanage.
     Pray for work in Moscow, and several smaller works in surrounding 
countries (Belarus, Kazakstan).  Pray for more laborers to reach more 
children.

UKRAINE/POLAND/ROMANIA
     Pray that we could work much more in these countries both within the 
orphanage structure, and with street children through local churches.  
     Pray for a new orphanage for babies, and children's work we've begun 
supporting in Petrusani, Romania.  

INDIA
     This needy country remains a burden in our hearts and seems so far away. 
 Wars, monsoons, heat & other hindrances have prevented us visiting our 
orphanage and street children's work there for a few years.  Pray  we can 
visit this year.  Pray especially for our work in Guntur, for the health of 
P. Samuel (he has health difficulties), his family & workers and for the 
precious 110 or so children we have there.  Pray also for those who've left 
the orphanage in the past and those who, because of their age, will leave 
this year.  Pray for God to send some missionaries to work alongside P. 
Samuel for a season.
     Pray also for the precious street children we love in Mumbai -- for God 
to be faithful to them.  Pray for our friends' orphanage there.  
     Pray for some new Christian orphans ministries soliciting our help and 
which we are praying about helping.  Most of all, pray for God to raise up 
laborers for this needy harvest field of suffering children.  

ADOPTIONS
     Pray for more children to be adopted by Christian families.  Pray for 
Andrei & Lida to continue to adapt and integrate into their new home.  Pray 
for children really desperate to have loving homes.

TROUBLED YOUTH
     God is hearing (of course!).  We're seeing some change in one troubled 
youth.  Continue praying for him, and for the others.  Pray for a mighty 
deliverance, and that Satan would feel embarassed for having dared try to toy 
with God's kids.

GENERAL
     Pray for suffering children everywhere -- for God to raise up laborers, 
for Him to deliver the children, minister to them, cover and embrace them, 
and take them quickly to Heaven.  Pray for kids in Asia -- and that we could 
get a foot in there to help.  Pray for finances for needed project, and 
mostly for laborers.

PERSONAL
     This coming week, my husband and I are traveling (with our son), and 
working on a special project.  Please pray for God to open some great doors 
to enhance His Kingdom through our portions, by His grace.
