Good morning Brother Chuck,
You ask some very real questions. I don't remember this discussion before,
but I'm not real sure.
I have given this a lot of thought because I have faced this situation 2
times in my life. I lost both a younger brother and a 7 month old
daughter 4 days apart in July 1992. It is a very difficult decision to
make. Until you've been there, a person cannot really feel the sadness of
having to say, "It's over."
If reports are accurate the case in Florida is a bit hurried, in my opinion.
I see video of the lady awake and moving and eyes alert, etc. Makes a
person wonder......
What is your healthcare profession? I am also in healthcare, in addition to
the ministry. Then, too, I've been there and done that when it comes to
the big decision on turning off the support.
For what it's worth.
