DG,
Do yo have a "voice" when you whisper sweet nothings into your wife's
ear? Or how about a "voice" when you have to really get after the
kids. My "voice" is different in many places. Dishonest? What on
earth does that mean in this context? Please explain your use of it.
Actually, I've heard way too many "talking" preachers that seemed to
have no real conviction about what they were saying. There was no
urgency in their "voice" and they seemed to be just delivering a
homily. They acted like they were scared of the devil or the deacons or
de-crowd (sorry, had to have another d for my outline) Well, if they are
going to preach, then PREACH! Or just shut up and sit down and save
their talk for the garden club.
