In 1995 they were dealing with a "open and affirming" church in the
Columbus, OH area (I believe they were in the Granville Assoc.) and while
the local association had kicked them out, the state and national group kept
them in and then created the Evergreen Assoc. for them and others. Rather
than being local or regional like the associations had always been, this
association is national to accommodate
queers across the country.

David,

Thanks for reminding me, the ABCUSA even has a homosexual association
called the Evergreen Baptist Association. This is a group we should
uplift as an example for sure.
