Bill,

Two of my three children sit in the service without any problem, and our
preacher preaches for 45 minutes or more. THe only problem is our
youngest who is one years old. We do have a place for those 4 and
younger. For those training their children to sit through a service have
reserved pews at the back of the sanctuary so if there is a problem they
can remove the children promptly. We have a church of about 200 and I
cannot think of one time in the last year that there was a major
disruption in the service. It is all about how you train your children.
If you train them to be wiggly and not able to sit through the service,
they won't. If you train them to sit through the service and be still,
they will.

Bill, I also agree with DW. Would you allow a person to be a member of
your church who did not publically profess in a Biblical manner their
belief in Christ? BTW, I do disagree with DW in the sense your idea is
new. It has been tried before and I contend it will lead to things like
the halfway covenant... which destroyed churches in the 1700's.

Derick
