I want to ask for a small but also a big prayer request for my family and
myself.  I may have the opportunity to get my doctorate (partially paid
for) and have a decent job at the same time.  One of the things I have
always wanted to do is to teach on a secular college campus something like
philosophy (light is brighter in dark places).  Well, some things came
about this week and there may be an opportunity for me to get my doctorate
partially paid for, have a house given to us to live while I am getting my
doctorate, and a job that will pay better than I am making right now.  One
of the higher ups in the University is a friend of mine and will try to
put his weight behind me getting things that I might need, but because of
some issues this is far from a "done deal" and could fall through very
easily.

Today I am working on sending my resume and other information for their
review.  To be honest with you, this is the direction my wife has been
asking me to head toward for the last four years and one that I wished I
could head but because of finances it has been an impossibility.  With the
help of this one man, I am closer to a dream than I have ever thought was
possible but it is still so far away and must be a God thing to come to
fruition.

So, this request is a little selfish but one that I wish I could see come
about.  SO, hopefully I can achieve my Doctor of Philosophy.  Many have
encouraged me through the last few years to go this direction and
hopefully God will supply.
