There seems to be some side issues that I do not want to delve into but this issue I want to address. First, I do not believe you have to know the Trinity to be saved. THat is clear in the Old Testament and most of us. Secondly, I do believe that you cannot be a Christian and deny the Trinity. Why? The trinity is God and God is the Trinity. In other words, if you worship something that is not the Trinity, you are not worshiping or following the God of the bible, a clear violation of the 2nd and 1st Commandments. I can say that one can be ignorant and struggle with the doctrine. Yet, denying the Trinity is, to use the word as it was meant to mean, heresy. Traditionally, there are three things that must be in place for a person to not be an apostate. They must have a proper view of God, a proper view of Salvation, and a proper view of the Word of God. One is who you worship. If you worship another God you cannot be saved (the Trinity is God). The second is the means of salvation. The third is the source of revelation. DrD
