I consider it an honor if someone else wants to borrow my outline and notes
to a sermon.

Of course, I do not wish for them to use it word for word, but to make it
their own by using their own phraseology and illustrations.

In a sense, a part of every sermon you hear and every book you read goes
into the formation of the next sermon you prepare. The thoughts that come
to you as you prepare a sermon today may be partly triggered from another
message you heard last year.

Sermon outline books have been published for preachers for many, many years.
Why? To help other preachers develop their own sermons by borrowing ideas
and thoughts used in the ones published.

Jerry
