This is an example why so much discussion becomes unfruitful.  Doc, you 
were the one that brought up the text of Acts 2 and Gary responded to 
that specific text.  But your response to him has nothing to do with the 
original text, instead you go off on some other rabbit trail about 
gentile believers and the Phillipian jailer.  Is it possible to respond 
to what someone actually said about a particular text instead of jumping 
around and thinking you are making a case against a point that no one to 
my knowledge has even made (at least not yet)?   If you are ready to 
move on then at least make it clear that you are moving on to a 
different point in a different text and either agree or disagree with 
what has been said about the text in question.  As Gary suggested last 
week, I think if we all would be a little more diligent about getting 
through one text at a time then there would be more fruitful discussion.
