Because I am a Lutheran who understands the ten commandments in light of the "Christ Event" rather than a legalistic stick with which to beat other Christians. Because I reject "the list" as being all about externals rather than a relationship with Christ by grace through faith. Because I believe that the Law was given to show our sins and the Gospel shows us the savior so that the progression is "LAW-GOSPEL" rather than "LAW-GOSPEL-LAW" (see Rosenbladt's discussion of this at www.newreformationpress.com if that was confusing). Because...I'm going to stop because my flesh wants to start fighting and return tit-for-tat emotional/mental scar for abusive scar and I need to sit down, cool down, and remember I don't travel in those circles anymore.
