HMMMM....guess what guys---I read 6 to 8 sermons of other men for EVERY sermon I prepare...This week I, after much study and prayer, I have taken 3 points from one message, added a point of my own (I know--no sermon is supposed to have more than 3 points---ah, but there is the "poem")...The development of these points are my "own" (I guess)...the meat of these points did NOT come from someone else's message---I could never preach someone else's message in total...just wouldn't work, I am too extemporaneous.... Well, maybe except for one---a John Bisagno message entitled "The Plight of the Religious Lost" (Five Fearful Facts From the Bible)...This one, I preach almost in toto--only a few things are changed. In fact, he and I spoke about this one time and I ask, "How much credit should I give you"...His response---"Very little, if any" When I asked, "why"...He said, "I don't know who I took it from---besides it's God's message anyway--preach it!!"....
