Greetings from BC, David, I believe that the KJV is the inspired Word of God. I don't believe that God's word has ever expired. If there were hebrew speaking people around I would learn hebrew. If I were in Quebec I would learn french. If I were in the great southwest(USofA), I would learn spanish. Church planting in western Canada, we have dealt with Doctors to street people, asians to native americans and when I am dealing with sin in their lives and the love of Jesus. They are not concerned about hebrew or greek. Again, how many have you saved using hebrew? Jeff > Jeff, you can never learn too much of God's Word. There must be a reason that God inspired > the writing of his revelation to man in Greek and Hebrew. If He had only wanted us to know it in > English then He would have inspired the writers to write it in English. There are some words that > are lacking in English. Not in richness of the Lord but in our limited language of English. A good > example is John 21:15,16,17. > > Love is a very limited word in English but not so in Greek. There is one word, "love" in English. > In the Greek there are 5 different words that are translated into the one word "love" in English. > Here in John 21 2 different words are used and it completely changes the meaning of the > dialogue between Jesus and Peter. I will not rely solely on the work of other translators alone > when God can allow me to learn to translate the Greek into English myself. When we speak of > preserved we must know that God really did preserve his word in the languages in which it was > written! > God Bless > Pastor Jeff Hallmark SPRUCELAND BAPTIST CHURCH ~~~Presenting the Prince of Peace to Prince George~~~
