Bro. Mike T. I agree with Steve. No offense was taken. Just a mention
that we have been down this road once before. Each time you travel a road,
be it the first or the one-hundredth, you can always find something new to
look at. I just don't think like most people. The things I say are just
thoughts that I ponder within myself. Many of them are from someplace in
my mind that questions the things contained in the philosophical boxes of
conventional thinking.

Mike T.,
I know I was not offended and I doubt Mike C. was offended. When I
asked - "Haven't we been here before?" it was because I vaguely remember
Mike C. and I (and others) having a similar discussion. I was just
making the comment in the spirit of de ja vu (sp?). There is no offense
in that. I don't mind discussing the issues again as it seems to be the
very issues on everyone's minds this week. In fact I will be preaching
this week and seeking to address the tragedy and people's questions.
Besides, this seems to be the usual thing on the forum. Discuss
something, it simmers down and then a few months later it pops up again.
How many times have we discussed baptist history (and I am not even a
baptist) or music styles. None of this offends me at all. Sometimes it
gets a little boring but offensive - no way.
You are right in that the present situation does bring up a lot of
the questions. I think in the previous discussion it was more focused
on What is the basis of our condemnation? and this led to the issue of
what happens to children who die in infancy.
So relax, no offense taken, discuss away. If there is an elephant in
the room I am not one to avoid it.
Peace,
Steve
