Family, Friends & Ministry Partners,
Hello from sunny and beautiful Bonn, Germany. We are bringing our family
back to the US this summer. We hope to see as many of you as possible in
July.
QUICK NOTES:
* We have finally set our ministry schedule for the Summer. You can
find it on our website. We will send out the schedule once it's finalized
(in the next few weeks). We have determined that the airline tickets alone
for the trip will cost over $6000, not to mention the car rentals, hotels,
etc. If you are interested in helping offset this cost, please send any
donations to the address below or you can donate online through our website
(http://www.perrinministries.org).
* Our Timothy Project kicks off this Fall. If you have a heart for
missions and are interested in a one- to three-year missions internship,
this is the perfect opportunity for you. Please check out the Timothy
Project at http://www.timothyproject.perrinministries.org.
IN MINISTRY NEWS...
Our Conversational English class in the Christophorus High School in
Königswinter, Germany is going great. Since it is just for the 8th graders,
we have a potential draw of 60 students. We are consistently having 27 in
this voluntary class. It is also opening more doors for us. I (Jon)
performed and spoke in a school assembly last Wed, with double the normal
attendance. As a result, we have been asked to teach three to four lessons
in one of the other religion classes. It starts this coming Wed. Please be
praying for continued favor... your prayers are making a difference!
Also, our Bible study on this campus is growing steadily. Word is getting
out and more students are coming. At this point we are primarily drawing
8th and 9th graders. But more students have shown interest. We have only
one month until we have to leave for America, so please pray for open and
responsive hearts among the participants, and that our work will not die out
this summer while we're gone.
Our May/June Ministry Schedule (Germany):
- Wed, May 25: Teaching in a religion class (the first of many lessons) at
the Christophorus High School in Königswinter, Germany.
- Sat, May 28: New Life Fellowship in Düsseldorf, Germany speaking to the
choir and youth group and teaching the church leadership.
- June 3-14: Host a teen missions team from New Braunfels, TX in both
Bonn-Bad Godesberg and Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.
- June 17-19: Minister at a youth retreat in Kall, Germany
- Thu, June 23: Jon speaks at a City-Wide Outreach (from the Alliance of
Churches) in the main city square in Bonn.
ON THE HOME FRONT...
Everyone here is doing good. Last week we took them to one of the local
festivals, fed them way too many sweets and had a great family time. Ryan
had a "Recorder" (wind instrument) concert a few days ago and did an awesome
job. The girls also had a festival at their school with a short concert. I
wish you could have seen them. They were great!
We are gearing up for our trip to the States next month. Our family will be
in Oklahoma, Texas and Indiana. I am going to be ministering in MN, SC and
NH as well. We are excited to see our friends and family. It will be the
first time Robin and the kids have been home in a year and a half. These
trips, while necessary in order to conduct Perrin Ministries business and do
some fundraising, are important to our family as well because we don't want
our kids to lose their American cultural heritage.
I am currently working on a music CD (my original songs) in my spare time.
We hope to have it finished by this summer. There is a studio here that is
partially sponsoring the project. God has really given us a lot of favor.
Again let us say how thankful we are for your friendship, encouragement, and
prayer and financial support. You make this ministry possible. Together we
re an extension of God's heart to a lost generation.

Jon, Robin, Ryan, Ashton & Emma Perrin
