Friends, Family & Ministry Partners, I hope this email finds you doing well. Things are winding down here in preparation for the summer. The school year is over, so most of the students we've been ministering to have gone on vacation (or back to their home countries). Since German schools only give their students six weeks of summer break, most families go on an extended vacation during that time. So we're back to having Bible studies with the handful of students that are still here, instead of a big, full-blown service. It is allowing us a breather before our trip to the States. It is also enabling us to plan for the fall ministry season. We just finalized our ministry schedule for our trip back to the USA... I'm sorry we weren't able to include this in our July newsletter. We would love to see all of you this summer while we're home. Our ministry schedule is pretty full; but if you have a church service or ministry event that you would like us to be involved with while we're in the States, please feel free to email us about it. We would love to squeeze it into our schedule and hook up with you if we can. Our July/August 2002 itinerary: a.. July 22-26 (Mon-Fri) Tulsa, OK - Attending RHEMA's Campmeeting b.. Aug. 14 (Wed) Plano, TX - River of Glory Church It has been a fruitful nine months of ministry here. Many missionaries see little or no fruit for the first year or two. Your prayers and financial support have made it possible for us to see well over 40 students respond to invitations to either give their hearts to Christ or recommit their lives to Him. Please pray that our time in America would also have God's blessing on it. More specifically, please pray: a.. That we would make some new contacts with pastors and others looking to support missionaries (divine appointments)... and that God would give us divine favor with them. b.. That when we minister, the needs of the people & of the churches would be met... that God would move in a mighty way. c.. That God would give us opportunities while in the USA to lead people to Christ and to encourage Christians - especially wayward ones. d.. That the financial budget for our trip would be covered (trips overseas with the whole family, plus all the travel within the USA can get expensive). e.. That things in Germany would run smoothly while we're gone. We appreciate you all very much. All the encouraging emails, prayer and financial support have been great. As always, if you have any specific prayer requests, please feel free to email them to us. We really do pray for you!
