The following is an Erev Shabbat Service, based upon 4,000 years of observance, and parts of it were in effect during Yeshua Messiah's century. This is a Messianic version. 1. After lighting the Shabbat lights:[at least 2 lit]: BAruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu Melech ha-olam, asher kidshanu b'mitzvotav uv'dahm Yeshua haMashiach, v'tsivanu, l'hadleek naer shel Shabbat. Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe Who has sanctified us with His commandments and in the blood of Yeshua the Messiah, and commanded us to kindle the Shabbat lights. 2.KIDDUSH, Blessing over the wine: And it was evening and it was morning. The sixth day. The heavens and the earth, and all they contain, were completed. By the seventh day God had finished the work which He had been doing; and so God ceased from all of His work. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because on it He ceased from all His work of creation. [Genesis]

Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu Melech ha-olam, borae pree hagafen, Amaen.

Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Creator of the fruit of the vine.

Beloved of my soul, merciful Father, draw your servant towards You. Let your affection for him be sweeter than a honeycomb or any other delicacy. Reveal Yourself and spread over me, Beloved One, the shelter of Your peace. Let the earth sparkle with Your glory; we will rejoice and be happy with You. Be quick, Beloved, for the time has come, and favor us as in days of old.

3. Ha-Motsee, [said before breaking the Shabbat bread].

Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu Melech ha-olam, ha-motsee lechem min ha-arets. Amaen.

Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Who brings forth bread from the earth.

4. Blessing over the meal.

Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu Melech ha-olam asher bidvaro ma'areev 'araveem.

Blessed art Thou, O Lord our God, King of the universe, Who at Thy Word brings on the evenings. With wisdom You open the gates of heaven, and with understanding You change the times and cause the seasons to alternate. Thou arrangest the stars in their courses in the sky according to Thy will. Thou creat day and night; Thou roll away light before darkness, and darkness before light; Thou cause the day to pass and the night to come, and make the distinction between day and night. Adonai Ts'vaw-ot is Thy Name.

Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohaenu Melech ha-olam, borae meenay mazonot. Amaen.

Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, Creator of various kinds of foods.

5. AYSHET CHA-YIL, Blessing for the wife.

A good wife who can find? She is more precious than corals. Her husband places his trust in her and only profits thereby. She brings him good, not harm all the days of her life... "Many women have excelled, but you outshine them all!" Grace is elusive and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord - she shall be praised. Give her credit for the fruit of her labors and let her achievements praise her at the gate. [From Pr.31].

6. Blessing the children:

FOR SONS SAY...

Y'simchah Elohim k'Efrieim v'chiM'nashe.

God make you as Ephraim and Menasseh.

FOR DAUGHTERS SAY...

Y'simaech Eloheem k'Sarah Rivkah RAchael v'Lae-ah.

God make you as Sarah, Rebecca, RAchel and Leah.

7. AARONIC BLESSING [Num.6:24-26]:

Y'-varech'-cha Adonai v'yish-marechah. Yaer Adonai panav aelchah veechu-nechah. Yisah Adonai panav aelechah v'ya-saem l'chah shalom. B'Shaem Yeshua HaMashiach, Sar HaShalom, Amaen.

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His contenance upon you, and give you peace. In the Name of the Prince of Peace, Yeshua the Messiah. Amen.

Shabbat Shalom!

Typed this in in a hurry, should be correct though.

NOTES:

ON AARON KINDLING LIGHTS AT SUNSET...EX.30:8.

ON CHALLAH BREAD...Reminds of Lev.24:5-8.

ON SANCTIFIED BY HIS COMMANDMENTS...1 Thess.4:1-4.

'CH' in Hebrew translituration pronounced as hard k, as in loCH ness.

Faith In Yeshua HaMashich posted by Howard L. Mitchell on 03/07/2003 at 01:02:07 from IP# 12.213.174.40

     Greetings In Our L-rd Yeshua HaMashiach. I have recently become aware of my Jewish roots and I'm happy to discover them .I have love,respect,and favor for and towards the Jewish ways. I'm a 34 year-old BLACK man who is unashamedly in love with everything Jewish,and I want to know as much as I can about it.For me to actually find out that the Messiah's name is really YESHUA and not JESUS shines light on everything,because when I discovered that,it made me dig deeper. I Have found out who I am in Him. I went into the Scriptures and found myself,and I've been given a new name.No longer will I be mislead about who I am.My fervent prayer is that everyone who follows Him will also find their true identity.Off the record,my desire now is to actually be adopted by a Jewish family that loves Yeshua haMashiach,and have come to a fullness in him (in every area) so I could be tauhgt by them.For me,this would be a dream come true....for you it's probably foolishness!......I DONT CARE !   G-d put this love in my heart and I need to make it known.Right now there is nothing I love more than Yeshua,and my Jewish brothers and sisters.I'm prepared to give my ENTIRE LIFE to following after Jewish worship and praise to Yeshua,HaShem,and Ruach HaKodesh and I will WILLFULLY FORSAKE ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY for a chance to persue my Jewishness in Him! I'm not ashamed either! He gave me His life....so i'm giving Him mine! As far as I'm concerned,I'm Jewish!....I dont care what anyone says,I'm JEWISH. I'm the blackest Jewish man I've ever seen! Praise G-d. I'm very serious about this.....you may say I'm TOO serious,But I just happen to believe that ADONAI is something to be serious about.All of my heart is in this and I dont want it to change.....EVER . I love the L-rd...simple as that!  If you want to contact me, you can email me at chamadyb@yahoo.com and leave an email address or a phone number so we can actually TALK and I'll get back to you,so contact me,and lets talk JEWISH.   May Elohiym richly bless you and yours.   amen.              & nbsp;              & nbsp;              & nbsp;              & nbsp;              & nbsp;              & nbsp;              & nbsp;              & nbsp;
