Ingredients:
1/4 Cup(s) Shortening
1/2 Cup(s) Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Vanilla
1 1/4 Cup(s) Sifted all purpose flour
3 Teaspoon(s) Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Salt
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Cinnamon
1/2 Cup(s) Milk
1 Cup(s) Chopped apple, or more
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Shift
flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together. Add to butter
mixture with milk. Beat until smooth. Stir in chopped apple, with peel
on. Bake about 20 min. at 400 degrees. (Makes 12 muffins.)
