Ingredients:
3 Tablespoon(s) Ghee
1 Onion, chopped
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Turmeric
2 Bay leaves
4 Cloves
4 Black peppercorns
2 1" cinnmaon sticks, 1" cinnmaon sticks
2 Black cardamom pods
2 Cup(s) Brown rice, presoaked
3/4 Cup(s) Water
3 Tablespoon(s) Green peas
1 Teaspoon(s) Salt
1 Pinch(s) Saffron
Directions:
Heat ghee in a skillet. Saute onion over a medium heat till
golden.Reserve some of the onion for garnishing later.Add turmeric to
the skillet. Stir & heat briefly. Add the rest of thespices in order.
Mix well.Add the rice & stir a few times. Pour over water, stir &
bring to aboil. Reduce heat, mix in peas & salt, cover & cook for 10 to
15minutes. Sprinkle with saffron & reserved sauted onion. Serve
