2 Tablespoon(s) Sugar
1/4 Cup(s) All-Purpose Flour
3 Cup(s) Milk
1 Tablespoon(s) Butter or margarine plus
1 Teaspoon(s) Butter or margarine
2 Teaspoon(s) Vanilla extract
Mandarin orange slices
Beat eggs at medium speed of an electric mixer until frothy. Add
sugarand flour, beating until blended.Heat milk in a heavy saucepan.
Greadualy stir about one-fourth of hotmilk into egg mixture; add to
remaining milk, stirring constantly. Cookover medium heat until
thickened (about 8 minutes), stirring constantly.Remove from heat, and
stir in butter and vanilla. Spoon into individualbowls or compotes.
Cover and chill. Top servings with mandarin orangeslices. Yields 6
