Ingredients:
3 Cup(s) Sifted flour
2 Cup(s) Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Salt
1 Cup(s) Butter
1 Egg, beaten
1 Cup(s) Sour milk or buttermilk
1 Teaspoon(s) SODA
1/2 Cup(s) Chopped nuts
1 Pint(s) Heavy cream, whipped and
sweetened
1 Pint(s) Fresh Strawberries, Sliced
Directions:
Mix together first 4 ingredients, reserve 1 cup crumb mixture.
Combineegg, milk and soda. Add to crumb mixture; stir well. Pour into
2greased, paper-lined 9-inch layer pans. Sprinkle with reserved
crumbmixture, then add nuts. Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes. Place one
layer,nut side up, on serving plate. Spread with half the whipped
cream. Topwith sliced strawberries. Stack second layer and top as
