3 3/4 Cup(s) Low-fat baking mix
1/2 Cup(s) Brown sugar, packed
3/4 Teaspoon(s) Nutmeg
1/3 Cup(s) Reduced fat margarine, cold
1 Whole egg
1/2 Cup(s) Fat-free vanilla yogurt
1/2 Cup(s) Applesauce
1 Teaspoon(s) Pure vanilla extract
1 Cup(s) Powdered sugar, sifted
1 Teaspoon(s) Almond extract
2 Tablespoon(s) Skim milk
Preheat oven to 425. Prepare 2 baking sheets with cooking spray;
setaside. In a mixing bowl, combine baking mix, brown sugar, and
nutmeg.Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles
coarsecrumbs. Stir in egg, yogurt, applesauce, and vanilla extract.
Stir justuntil moistened. Turn out dough onto a surface lightly
sprinkled withadditional baking mix. Roll to 1/2" thickness. Cut with a
floured 3"biscuit cutter. Punch a hole in the center of each doughnut
with afloured finger. Place on baking sheet and pull dough gently to
makeabout a 1" hole, keeping doughnut uniformly shaped. Brush tops with
milkand sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake for 12 minutes or until
goldenbrown. Cool.Meanwhile, to prepare glaze, combine powdered sugar,
almondextract, and milk.Drizzle over doughnuts.Per serving: 261
