----: Vegetable oil or shortening: -for deep frying 1
c Martha White Self-Rising: -Flour 2/3 c Martha White
Self-Rising: -Corn Meal Mix 3/4 c Milk 1 Egg, lightly
beaten 2 tbVegetable oil: Wooden skewers (optional) 1 lb
Weiners, at room temp.: Mustard and ketchup (opt.)In large
saucepan or electric fryer, heat 2 to 3 inches of oil overmedium-high
heat to 375. Stir together flour and corn meal in mixingbowl. Add milk,
egg, and 2 tablespoons oil; stir until smooth. setbatter aside for 10
minutes. Insert skewers into weiners. Dip weinersinto batter. Carefully
drop corn dogs into hot oil. Fry until goldenbrown and floating on top.
Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with mustardand ketchup, if desired.
