<VSANNICE@WEIZMANN.WEIZMANN.AC.IL> Noodle pudding,or kugel, is a
traditional Jewish delicacy. There are hundreds ofvariations, sweet or
savory, with or without fruit, to be served as aside dish or dessert.I
don't really use a recipe -- just improvise. The only
requiredingredients are noodles and eggs. (3-4 eggs, or 5-6 egg
whites, foreach pound of noodles.) The noodles can be any width.
Optionalingredients are fried onions (for a savory kugel), salt, sugar,
pepper, fruit (pineapple or apples are good), fruit juice, milk, cottage
cheese, yogurt or sour cream, oil or butter or margarine. A crumb
topping can beadded, if desired. Mix everything together, put into a
baking pan andbake at about 375F till browned.I did find one recipe in
my files, which follows. (I haven't tried it.)Recipe By: "Mirjam Dorn
(JPW)" <yoel@BRACHOT.JCT.AC.IL>Grease a 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Arrange
the raw noodles on the bottomof the pan. In a large mixing bowl, beat
the eggs and sugar untillight; add the milk; beat together. Stir in the
cottage cheese andraisins. Pour the mixture over the noodles, then
cover and refrigerateovernight. Before baking, spinkle cinnamon sugar on
the top. Bake for 1 hour and15 minutes in a 350 degree F oven, the
first half of the cooking timecovered and remainder of the time
