Ingredients:
1 Lemon
6 Apples, peeled cored and
cut into 1/2 inch dice
1 1/2 Cup(s) Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Ground mace
Directions:
Grate colored zest from lemon, avoiding bitter white pith. Set
aside.Squeeze lemon juice into a medium bowl. Add apples to bowl and
toss withjuice.In a heavy medium sized saucepan, combien sugar and 3/4
cup water. Bringto a boil over medium heat, stirring once or twice.
Reduce heat tomedium-low, add lemon zest, apples, and lemon juice.Cook,
stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Add mace and cook 10 to 15minutes,
or until apples are tanslucent and syrup has nearly boiledaway. Serve
