12 Stuffing mushrooms
1 Cream cheese, softened 8 oz.
3 Green onions, with tops
2 Links sweet or hot Italian
Sausage cooked& crumbled
1/4 Cup(s) Grated parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoon(s) Butter, for saute
Do not clean mushrooms with water, it makes them watery, and they
aregrown in sterile soil so a speck of dirt won't hurt, use a
mushroombrush or a damp paper towel.Clean and destem mushrooms and
saute inabout 1 T butter till slightly cooked. Remove and set on cookie
sheetunderneath side up to stuff. In a food processor or blender, chop
thegreen onions, then add and pulse the cooked sausage till crumbled
fairlysmall. Add softened cream cheese and parmesan cheese and blend
tilthoroughly mixed. Use a teaspoon or piping bag to mound filling
ontomushroom caps. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes. Then set oven to
broiland brown tops lightly. Serve hot.NOTES : Great with a good
