Ingredients:
8 Cup(s) Peaches, sliced
1 Cup(s) Sugar
1 Cup(s) Water
2 Tablespoon(s) Cornstarch
1 Teaspoon(s) Cinnamon
1/4 Cup(s) Brown sugar
1/2 Stick butter, melted
1 1/2 Cup(s) Chopped nuts
2 Cup(s) Self-rising flour
1/2 Cup(s) Shortening
1/4 Cup(s) Buttermilk
Directions:
Cook peaches, sugar, water, cornstarch and cinnamon in saucepan
untilthickened. Pour into a 3-quart dish. Stir in brown sugar and
butter. Addpecans and stir to coat. In a bowl, stir flour and sugar.
Cut inshortening. Make a well in center of mixture and add milk. Stir
untildough clings together. Knead 10-12 times. Roll out to
12-by-8-inches andspread with pecan mixture. Roll up from long side.
Cut into 12 circlesand place on top of the peaches. Bake at 400 for 25
to 30 minutes.From a collection of my mother's (Judy Hosey) recipe box
