3/4 Cup(s) Honey
Soak chestnuts overnight in water to cover. Drain, shell and dry.
Combine sugar and honey and cook over low heat, stirring
frequently,until the mixture dissolves and is syrup-like. Add
chestnuts and cook, covered, over very low heat until tender(about 2
hours), stirring frequently. Separate chestnuts. Arrange on a serving
platter, which has beeneither covered with waxed paper or rubbed
