Ingredients:
4 Pita bread
2 Tablespoon(s) Butter
2 Tablespoon(s) Chopped onion
1 Clove garlic, minced
2 Tablespoon(s) Minced green pepper
1 Pound(s) Ground beef
1 Tablespoon(s) Prepared mustard
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Oregano
1 Teaspoon(s) Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 Cup(s) Peeled, seeded and chopped
Tomatoes
Directions:
Heat the bread in a low oven. Heat the butter in a skillet and
saute'the onion, garlic and pepper until just soft; do not brown. Add
thebeef, mustard, oregano, salt and a generous amount of pepper.
Cook,stirring, until the meat is no longer red. At the last minute stir
inthe chopped tomatoes and cook briefly. Cut the pitas in half and
stuffthe pouches. Makes 4 generous servings.Recipe by: Unknown Cookbook
